We’ve been doing pretty solid as a staff over here and we look for that to continue. Below is our overall record and a couple other stats that we will be updating weekly.

Zach’s Pick: Amon-Ra St. Brown o6.5 Receptions
St. Brown is back and ready to take on the Dallas secondary which is more about limiting yards than limiiting catches. They actually rank 4th in the NFL in limiting Opposing Passing Yards. Doesn’t has no relevance as expect St. Brown to work the short and intermediate areas of the field trying to tack on yards after the catch.
When healthy, @EricNMoody thinks Amon-Ra St. Brown can be a league-winner 🏆 @amonra_stbrown in Weeks 1-3:

Matt’s Pick: Chris Godwin o65.5 Receiving Yards
I mentioned Godwin in my WR Stats article this week and I am taking him here. He dominated target share last week and was on the field for 93% of snaps. Godwin will get it done against a demoralized Carolina team with no direction except down.
Zachary’s Pick: Jared Goff u249.5 Passing Yards
While Goff has passed for over this number 3 times this year, he has done so against lesser defenses. The Cowboys have only given up over 200 passing yards 1 time this year.
– Goff historically been the opposite (except 2018 was good against both)

Against the Spread
Zach’s Pick: Detroit Lions +7
The Lions had two weeks to prepare for the Cowboys and also get healthy in the process. We see the return of St. Brown and Swift to the field which should take some mental pressure off Goff. The Lions offensive line is one of the best in the game and if they can even moderately contain Micah Parsons and the Dallas pass rush I see them coming out and covering.
Matt’s Pick: Green Bay Packers -4.5
I really wanted to go with the Patriots -7.5 but Green Bay at less than a touchdown against a Heinicke led Commanders team was too good to pass up. The Packers need a get right week and I think they find it here. I can’t believe I’m typing this but if Watkins plays I think it will make a big impact on the Green Bay passing attack. The Packers are craving a veteran in their active WR corp and Sammy can help this team. Jones and Dillon should be involved a ton and there’s a real chance for this to get out of hand early.

Zachary’s Pick: New York Giants +3
Maybe the desert knows something we don’t, but I’m not buying the Jags winning this game. The Giants are 5-1 against the spread this season. Saquon Barkley is currently the NFL rushing leader, and while the Jags are ranked highly against the rush right now, the times they have actually faced two decent rushing offenses they were killed on the ground, giving up 210yds to the Eagles, and 116 to the Texans. Jags may win, but the Giants have a way of keeping games close this year.
