Baltimore Ravens
Mark Andrews on the offense implemented by OC Todd Monken: “It’s going to be different. I’m excited for everyone to see the difference… We’re going to be able to throw the ball. Coach Monken is doing his thing.”
Morgan Moses on Zay Flowers: “Zay Flowers, seeing him, what an unbelievable rookie he is. If you ever get a chance to sit down and talk with him, he has a mindset that he’s already been in the league already for 3 years.”
Buffalo Bills
A name to watch during Training Camp: Deonte Harty
“Harty was a First-Team All-Pro punt returner in 2019. He can obviously do it and do it well. But he’s expected to play a significant role in the Bills’ offense. So, if they decide to have him return punts, will that impact his usage on offense? If so, maybe they just dismiss the idea altogether.”
Just wanted to highlight the third sentence in that quote as something to watch
Carolina Panthers
“Hayden Hurst says he’s been waiting for a moment like this his entire career. He’s preparing to have the ball throw his way a lot this season and he loves the high expectations from the fans. He says he’s 100% ready to roll from a health standpoint.”
Hurst also said Bryce Young is similar to Joe Burrow in that he isn’t a “rah-rah” guy – “He’s in there watching film every day. That makes you want to be on top of your game.”
Miles Sanders says he’s excited to be at camp and is looking forward to setting the tone for the team day one tomorrow.
Cleveland Browns
After practice CB Greg Newsome II raved about WR Elijah Moore. Said it was a heist by Browns EVP/GM Andrew Berry to get him without spending a first round pick to do so. Newsome feels Moore is in for a massive season for Cleveland. Newsome went on to say “the NFL better watch out for (Moore).“
Detroit Lions
Amon-Ra St. Brown was a standout at Lions practice. He scored 6 touchdowns on 10 red-zone plays for the first team offense.
St. Brown’s mindset entering Year 3: “I feel like you’re only as good as your last year. This is a new year. We’re all at zero. I have zero catches. Zero touchdowns. I’m the same as everyone else. So, I feel like you’ve got to restart each year.”
“(Sam) LaPorta continues to integrate himself with the starters and every day he looks more comfortable. If not for St. Brown’s impressive touchdown catch, LaPorta high-pointing a Goff pass 25 yards downfield over Alex Anzalone would have earned catch-of-the-day honors. LaPorta also scored twice on the day. Goff hit him in the flat after he fake blocked then leaked out into the flat for an easy score. The other came while working with the second team, running straight at Malcolm Rodriguez, then breaking off toward the sidelines for an easy outlet for Nate Sudfeld. Despite working with the starters, the Lions are trying to get LaPorta as many reps as possible and that means working with the first, second, and third teams.”
Green Bay Packers
Brian Gutekunst on not signing a veteran WR: “Obviously, we’re very excited about that group and how they’re gonna grow together with Jordan … players we have in that group right now need to play.”
Matt LaFleur on Jordan Love: “He definitely has complete command of our offense.”
Indianapolis Colts
Michael Pittman Jr. on rookie Anthony Richardson: “I just can’t see him not being successful.” Says the QB is always in his playbook to the point where it can be hard to get his attention.
GM Chris Ballard said the preseason will tell them a lot about Richardson’s readiness.
The Colts are going to ease Michael Pittman Jr. in after his offseason hip injury. Pittman said he’s completely over it, but they just want to be cautious bringing him back into the fold.
Jonathan Taylor did arrive at Colts camp, despite concern that he might hold out for a new contract. Ballard said they’ll have some long talks with Taylor, but he’s fine with the contract situation lingering into the season.
Surprising news: JT will start Camp on the PUP list
TE Jelani Woods is a “full go” for Camp
Another name to watch: Drew Ogletree
“The biggest wildcard on the Colts’ roster this offseason is tight end Drew Ogletree. Ogletree was a star in training camp a year ago, climbing up to second on the depth chart at one point before tearing his ACL in early August. The former sixth round pick out of Youngstown State is finally healthy again, but it remains to be seen if he can regain his form from last year.”
He stood out during Training Camp practice almost every day last year.
Kansas City Chiefs
Isiah Pacheco got his first 7-on-7 work of Camp
Andy Reid said Kadarius Toney had surgery involving knee cartilage this morning after the problem on Sunday. Another setback for Toney in a long line of setbacks.
First team RB touches: 3 for Clyde Edwards-Helaire, 2 for Deneric Prince, and 1 for Jerick McKinnon. Prince also had a couple carries for the second team and Jerrion Ealy worked with the third team.
Los Angeles Chargers
Like Jonathan Taylor, Austin Ekeler also reported to camp, despite holdout concerns.
New England Patriots
Bill Belichick says Juju Smith-Schuster looks “ready to go” after missing portions of the Spring
The Patriots are going to spend time working with Jalen Hurd at receiver. Hurd was drafted by the 49ers as a receiver, but mostly played running back in college. Injuries have derailed his career to this point, but he has flashed talent in the preseason.
“I’d expect the Patriots to give second-year running backs Pierre Strong and Kevin Harris through the preseason to prove themselves worthy of a backup role. If things aren’t progressing with the young RBs, then they may get a deal done with one of the vets on the market.”
David Andrews on what he’s seen from Mac Jones: “Seeing him grow more confident, getting older, getting comfortable in the system, getting comfortable with what we’re doing. He’s been here most of the summer working with guys. I think he’s got all the tools to succeed.”
New York Giants
Saquon Barkley’s holdout was short lived. Barkley and the Giants agreed to terms on a new 1-year deal worth up to $11M. He’ll be ready to go when the Giants start practice.

Sterling Shepard looks good in his ACL recovery. He’ll begin Camp on the PUP list but shouldn’t stay there long, if at all.
New York Jets
Aaron Rodgers and the Jets offense had an up and down day. Rodgers had nice completions to Jeremy Ruckert and Garrett Wilson. He also sailed a pass that was picked off by Sauce Gardner.
Allen Lazard sat out practice due to muscle tightness
Israel Abanikanda broke off a 50 yard touchdown run, showcasing his speed.
New Orleans Saints
Signed TE Jimmy Graham to a one year deal. Graham hasn’t played since 2021, but reunites with the team he started with.
HC Dennis Allen on Michael Thomas: “Our expectation is that Mike (Thomas) is going to be a full participant.”
Allen said they haven’t heard anything from the league regarding an Alvin Kamara suspension.
San Francisco 49ers
John Lynch says Brock Purdy has been cleared to practice. Kyle Shanahan says Purdy will throw two out of every three days initially and he’ll take the first rep the days he’s out there. So that settles it – Brock Purdy is the 49ers starting Quarterback.
Shanahan on Trey Lance: “He looks healthier. I think his feet look better. Trey has put all of the work in.”
Shanhan on Deebo Samuel: “I’ve never had a grown man send me so many pictures of himself with his shirt off”
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sean Tucker says he’s cleared to practice and “100 percent ready to go”
Jason Licht says he’s excited to witness the Bucs’ first true QB competition in the decade he has been in Tampa. He’s looking forward to the way the team will be “hyper-focused” on that issue every day.
Tennessee Titans
HC Mike Vrabel on Malik Willis: “(He) came out of spring with glaring improvement, knows what goes into being an NFL QB.”
Vrabel on DeAndre Hopkins: “in great shape, his work last year was great when he was out there. Confident in ability to make contested catches and work one-on-one.”
