June 19, 2023

Baltimore Ravens

  • Justice Hill deserves a lot of credit. Essentially RB1 all spring with Dobbins, Edwards not really on the field. Harbaugh on Hill: “All those reps helped him … Repetition is the name of the game. …Justice made the most of it.”
  • J.K. Dobbins is one of the premier young RBs in the NFL. Not only is he second in the league in YPC (5.9) since 2020, he was flat-out dominant down the stretch of last season – even without Lamar Jackson. IMO, the #Ravens should absolutely pay him. This offense has a chance to be sensational, and Dobbins will be an integral component.
  • We asked @RapSheet if he thinks Odell Beckham Jr. can bounce back from injury at age 30. Ian: “I think he’s going to be really good.”

Buffalo Bills

  • “Based on spring practices, Khalil Shakir is going to push hard for prime snaps in the #Bills’ three-receiver set.” Competing with Deonte Hardy and Trent Sherfield.

Chicago Bears

  • Some notes as bears mini camp raps up – Fields impressive great throws great running – Tonyan looking awesome, getting first team reps – Claypool is present jersey on just not practicing – starting line looks tough – not much of DJ Moore for some reason
  • Matt Eberflus on what inspires confidence in Justin Fields’ development heading into Year 3: “You can see it. It’s quicker, it’s faster, it’s more precise, and that comes down to his experience and his work ethic. He’s worked really hard at it.”

Cleveland Browns

  • I’m told the #Commanders have quietly been making some preliminary inquiries behind-the-scenes on free agent RB Kareem Hunt, per league source. We’ll see if this leads to an opportunity for Hunt with Washington.

Green Bay Packers

  • Jordan Love and Aaron Jones both said it this week: This Packers offense is fast. Very fast. Everyone is learning on the fly but they’ll do it a 100 miles per hour

Los Angeles Rams

  • Sean McVay once again spoke highly of Cam Akers, saying he’s going to be a “huge part” of the Rams this year and “central figure” in the offense

New York Giants

  • “Practice stats are what they are, but Campbell’s 15 catches from Jones were 4 more than any WR in open practices…Campbell also got reps at RB…another sign Giants have plans to get Campbell ball as much as possible…certainly looks like Campbell will be a featured piece”
