While there were many moves that have happened this offseason, these are the top 15 most impactful for fantasy. Here is a quick and dirty on what you need to know.
15. Evan Engram – Denver Broncos
Engram signed a two year, 23 million dollar contract with the Denver Broncos. He was a bit of a surprising cut from the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Engram settles in on a team that should give him plenty of opportunity to succeed. This addition also boosts the stock of Broncos QB Bo Nix as he adds a reliable pass catcher.
14. Khalil Shakir – Buffalo Bills
Shakir signed a four year extension with the Buffalo Bills worth up to 60.2 million dollars. Shakir provided a career year in 2024 with 821 yards and 4 touchdowns. Shakir is a specialist in gaining yards after catch and plays a pivotal role in an electric offense. Bringing him back at this price is a no brainer. Shakir should continue to provide a high floor for fantasy football.
13. Daniel Jones – Indianapolis Colts
Jones signed a one year, 14 million dollar contract with the Indianapolis Colts. There’s a good chance most destinations would have led to Jones being left off this list, but landing in Indy leads to a brewing quarterback battle with Anthony Richardson. In his first two seasons, Richardson has disappointed between subpar play and various injuries. Next season feels like it is a make or break season for Richardson, and Jones will come into a battle for the QB1 spot that Richardson now must earn.
12. Najee Harris – Los Angeles Chargers
Harris signed a one year deal worth up to 9.25 million dollars. He is a dependable runner who stayed healthy all four years in Pittsburgh leading to 1,000 rushing yards every year. The downside is that his efficiency was below average amongst a generally mediocre Pittsburgh offense. Harris will set out to prove that he was not the problem in what will probably be a better Chargers run game. With their main running backs from last year moving on, there is a good chance the Chargers draft a back to join Harris. Regardless, Harris should see a good portion of early down work with a chance to cement himself as a solid RB2 on fantasy teams.
11. Aaron Jones / Jordan Mason – Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings extended Aaron Jones to a two year, 20 million dollar deal and traded for former San Francisco 49ers back Jordan Mason. These moves cement the Minnesota backfield for the 2025 season. Jones should continue to lead the backfield, but is likely to see his workload get cut from 2024 to keep him healthy as he enters his age 30 season. Mason was an incredibly efficient runner last year filling in for Christian McCaffery and provides Minnesota with
the ability to mix and match running backs. Jones will likely fall as a back end RB2 in 2025 drafts while Mason will fall near the RB4 tier with big upside if Jones gets injured.
10. Christian Kirk – Houston Texans
Kirk was traded to the Houston Texans from the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Tank Dell out for at least a majority of the season, Kirk will land as the WR2 on the Texans which will look to improve from its sluggish 2024 offense. Kirk had a down 2024 season that ended with an injury, but he should have plenty of juice left and should provide upside in 2025 fantasy drafts.
9. Chris Godwin – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Godwin signed a three year, 66 million dollar deal to stay in Tampa. He started last season blazing hot, providing WR1 results but ultimately went down with a season ending injury in week 7 of the season. Many teams were interested as he hit free agency, but Tampa was able to lock him up. He will be drafted in the WR2 range in 2025 drafts, as Jalen McMillan will take a hit to his stock after breaking out in the late stages of the 2024 season.
8. Deebo Samuel – Washington Commanders
Samuel was traded from the San Francisco 49ers to the Washington Commanders. Samuel provides Jayden Daniels with a new weapon on an offense that could have used one down the stretch of the 2024 season. Deebo seems to have lost a step, but should still be an effective player drafted in the WR3 range of 2025 drafts.
7. Justin Fields – New York Jets
Fields signed a two year, 40 million dollar contract with the New York Jets. He gets a fresh start with a team willing to give him a shot as a QB1. Fields has fantasy upside with his rushing ability. The Jets should provide a better crew around him compared to the Steelers last year. This feels like a make or break contract for Fields as he must perform in this new situation. Fields will be drafted as a QB2 in 2025 fantasy, but could provide plenty of QB1 weeks.
6. Cooper Kupp – Seattle Seahawks
Kupp signed a three year, 45 million dollar deal with the Seahawks. This deal is a homecoming for Kupp who was born and raised in Washington. Kupp faded a bit in his last year for the Rams, and this fresh start is what he needed. The Seahawks currently have a new QB in Sam Darnold and a ton of vacated targets that Kupp should be able to replace.
5. Davante Adams – Los Angeles Rams
Adams signed a two year, 45 million dollar contract with the Rams. This is a big deal for Adams, as he puts himself in a receiver friendly offense. Adams will look to prove he is still elite, and should fall in the WR2 range of 2025 drafts.
4. DK Metcalf – Pittsburgh Steelers
Metcalf was traded to the Steelers and signed to a four year, 132 million dollar contract. In a bit of a shocking move, Metcalf finds himself on a new team with a big contract. Mecalf possesses elite traits as a receiver, but unfortunately finds himself in a worse situation in a Steelers offense that hasn’t shown much in recent years. If the Steelers can pick up a formidable QB, Metcalf’s outlook could improve drastically.
3. Geno Smith – Las Vegas Raiders
Smith was traded to the Raiders from the Seattle Seahawks. He lands back with the coach that helped revive his career. Smith should provide similar numbers for himself in this situation, but will provide a huge boost to the Raiders pass catchers including the potential 2025 fantasy TE1 Brock Bowers.
2. Sam Darnold – Seattle Seahawks
Darnold signed a three year, 100.5 million dollar contract with the Seahawks. After a breakout year in 2024, Darnold is put in a situation to continue to succeed. He will provide stability to the pass catchers in Seattle, and has cemented himself as a valuable superflex and dynasty asset.
1. Ja’Marr Chase / Tee Higgins – Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals extended Ja’Marr Chase to a four year, 161 million dollar contract and Tee Higgins to a four year, 115 million dollar contract. The best receiver room in football is here to stay for the long haul. Chase should continue to be a top 3 pass catcher and Higgins should continue to provide elite upside in this electric offense. Joe Burrow could be the biggest winner of these
