Cowboys – Jon’Vea Johnson is carrying over his momentum from OTAs to Training Camp. The top 3 WRs are set (Cooper, Gallup, Cobb). After that, it’s wide open. Tony Pollard has some “juice” and Mike Weber runs hard according to one beat writer. Cowboys signed Alfred Morris. Blake Jarwin is having an impressive camp and he should get a lot of snaps despite the return of Jason Witten.
Broncos – Daesean Hamilton is still sitting out.
Packers – Jamaal Williams is still sitting out but did catch some passes on the JUGGS machine. Robert Tonyan is a name to watch at TE. He continues to impress and has gotten a lot of first team work. The Rodgers to MVS connection has yet to get going. J’Mon Moore and Trevor Davis are having nice camps. Don’t count them out in the WR competition.
Colts – Andrew Luck is having some calf trouble that is keeping him out of practice. He’ll sit out the rest of this week.
Jaguars – Dede Westbrook continues to shine. All signs point to him being the Jags #1 WR this year.
Chiefs – Tyreek Hill had an injury scare as he and a defender collided, but it’s just a quad bruise and he should be fine. Damien Williams sat out again. ” Darwin Thompson should be on your radar. Quick, shifty, and despite his size is showing ability to pass-block, a part of it that sometimes keeps inexperienced RBs out of the lineup early. I think he’s going to be a weapon and will push for snaps.”
Dolphins – HC Brian Flores made it clear that Ryan Fitzpatrick is the starting QB. Nick O’Leary is getting the TE1 snaps, with Mike Gesicki still struggling with his blocking. Kalen Ballage left the field with trainers. Waiting to hear the prognosis on him. He walked off the field without any clear limitation.
Saints – Emmanuel Butler, the training camp darling, injured his calf. He tried to jog it off, but ended up going into the locker room. Hopefully, it’s just a minor issue that doesn’t keep him out too long. Butler has been impressive, but veteran WRs Keith Kirkwood, Ted Ginn, and Austin Carr all had some nice catches today. Buck Allen went on IR. Latavius Murray sat out his second straight practice. This led to Devine Ozigbo getting some first team work.
Raiders – Antonio Brown is back at practice. Derek Carr completed a pass to Josh Jacobs, leading one beat writer to say “expect to see a lot of that this season.”
Eagles – This team is loaded. JJAW had the play of the day with an 80 yard TD catch and run (mainly run). Nelson Agholor made several catches today. Miles Sanders also shined. Another great day for the Wentz to Djax connection.
Titans – It’s a strained calf muscle for Derrick Henry that could sideline him for 2 weeks. It’s not considered serious and the Titans are just being cautious. Corey Davis is showing out again. Alex Barnes got some run with the first team with Henry out and held his own.
Redskins – Cam Sims is having another solid camp. He shined during last year’s Training Camp. Dwayne Haskins is trying to learn as much as he can. He likes to pick the brains of the other QBs.
