Cardinals – KeeSean Johnson is impressing every day. Kyler Murray had his first average practice, which was still a good practice. “His floor is higher than Josh Rosen’s ceiling.”
Dolphins – Speaking of Rosen, he closed the gap a little bit on Fitzpatrick, but still has a ways to go. Kalen Ballage once again impressed and it just seems like the starting job is his to lose right now. But we are most likely looking at a committee/hot hand approach.
Lions – Matt Patricia is a big Zach Zenner fan. Zenner filled in some for Kerryon Johnson while KJ attended to a personal matter yesterday. TJ Hockenson may be the exception as a rookie tight end. He has been killing it in practice.
Bills – Hamstring injury sidelined Dawson Knox. John Brown is the clear cut WR1 and more than a deep threat. Devin Singletary is getting a ton of first team reps as the team tries to monitor the reps of McCoy and Gore. Robert Foster might just be a situational deep threat.
Jets – Quincy Enunwa has been struggling with drops.
Bears – Really good day for Allen Robinson and Javon Wims. This is a crowded WR depth chart, but Wims is impressing for a second consecutive Training Camp. Keep an eye on him. So-so start to camp for Trubisky, but part of that could be attributed to how good the Bears defense is. David Montgomery’s contact balance has been on full display, however he did lose a fumble today.
Jags – Dede Westbrook hasn’t dropped a pass in 4 practices and is probably the camp MVP thus far if that was a thing. Leonard Fournette has been quick, physical, and sharp in his cuts. Gardner Minshew is the backup QB barring a terrible preseason. Tyre Brady, UDFA WR from Marshall, has developed a nice rapport with Minshew and is someone to keep an eye on through the preseason.
Chiefs – Sammy Watkins is on fire. Obviously, health is the big factor here, but he’s going to have a huge season if he can stay healthy. Travis Kelce is 100%. Tyreek Hill made several nice plays today. Damien Williams injured his hamstring today. Carlos Hyde took over first team reps with Darwin Thompson moving to second team. Demarcus Robinson has been the third WR in 3 wide sets. Byron Pringle and Mecole Hardman are Second teamers.
Titans – Derrick Henry was seen in a walking boot and AJ Brown is still out. Corey Davis had an outstanding practice today.
Patriots – Braxton Berrios and Maurice Harris have been hot. Berrios is your Edelman insurance. Rex Burkhead has caught the most passes from Brady during 11v11s followed by Philip Dorsett.
Saints – Jared Cook has brought a new dimension to the Saints pass game. Keith Kirkwood has been filling in for Michael Thomas.
Colts – Very nice practice by Parris Campbell today. He stole the show. Then left practice with a hamstring injury. Believed to be minor. Devin Funchess also showed well today. Nyheim Hines had a good day as a runner and receiver, mixing in with the first, second, and third team.
49ers – Not a sharp day for Jimmy Garoppolo. Jalen Hurd was involved in 2 altercations. Tevin Coleman made several explosive runs.
Ravens – Lamar Jackson is building some solid momentum. Miles Boykin has been better than the hype, drawing comparisons to Michael Thomas. Justice Hill had a fumble then a long run.
Cowboys – Jon’Vea Johnson, UDFA WR from Toledo, impressed during OTAs and has carried that over to Training Camp, even getting some run with the 1s. In Zeke’s absence, the first team RB has been Darius Jackson, with Tony Pollard sprinkling in.
Packers – Follow the WR battle closely. It should come into focus in the coming weeks. But for now, the top 3 WRs are Adams, Allison, and MVS. Jamaal Williams sat out again with a hamstring.
