Sean McDermott said RB Devin Singletary has “been intentional on working on his weaknesses” this offseason, and saying he’s started to see his approach turn the corner a little bit this spring. Said he’s anxious to see him in practices.

Jalen Reagor was limited in practice with a lower body injury

DeVante Parker opens up camp on PUP, although his injury is not believed to be serious
DeVonta Smith and Travis Fulgham were the Eagles starting WRs (Reagor was limited). Dallas Goedert was the starter at TE.
JK Dobbins stood out in the pass game
Carson Wentz was sluggish at the beginning of his first Colts practice, going 1-5 in his first team drill. Mo Alie-Cox and Jack Doyle had drops. Wentz finished strong, though, completing 11 of his final 15 passes to 8 different WRs
Michael Carter was the Jets starting RB in the first team period (Tevin Coleman went first in the next team period). Keelan Cole, Jamison Crowder, and Corey Davis were the starting WRs. Denzel Mims continues to work with the second team.
Tyler Kroft was running ahead of Herndon for the Jets at TE
Gardner Minshew took the first two reps at QB for the Jags, followed by Trevor Lawrence for the next two reps
QB-turned-TE Tyree Jackson had a good practice for the Eagles, making a couple standout plays
Parris Campbell looks 100% healthy and had a “very good day”. He was a day 1 standout
Colts beat reporter Zak Keefer tweeted “You can see why they like Kylen Granson”. Granson is a TE out of SMU that was drafted in the fourth round. He was the leading receiver in the first practice.
Noah Gray worked as the second TE for the Chiefs, getting some run with the ones as well
Solid practice for Tua – “Multiple instances with Tua at QB where the ball came out before the WR came off the stem and the ball arrived as they turned back to the QB and before a pair of defenders could close”
Jalen Hurts first TD pass was to Miles Sanders. He later completed another TD pass to DeVonta Smith, who ran an out route and got good separation from Darius Slay. Slay shadowed Smith for most of practice
Cam Newton did not have a good day
Nelson Agholor definitely stood out as the best separator among the receiver group so far. Caught two TDs in the most competitive reps. Did a nice job working the back of the end zone. Already developing good chemistry with Mac Jones
Hunter Henry said the Pats offense is “built for TEs”
Mahomes finished a 7 on 7 passing drill by going 5 of 7. His first pass of camp was a deep ball down sideline for Tyreek Hill but just overthrown. His completions went to 5 different receivers. Mecole later had a deep grab down the sideline
Ryan Fitzpatrick had a good practice, connecting with Adam Humphries several times. His biggest pass of the day went to Terry McLaurin
Kelvin Harmon had a fantastic day, making several nice catches
Curtis Samuel begins camp on the PUP list as he nurses a groin injury
Deshaun Watson was at Texans practice, but didn’t participate
Courtland Sutton was a full participant for the Broncos as he works his way back from an ACL tear
It was the Jerry Jeudy show at Broncos practice as he made some big plays with both Lock and Teddy at QB
KJ Hamler showed off his speed and hauled in a deep ball. He had a nice opening practice, but tweaked something towards the end.
Corey Davis on rookie WR Elijah Moore: “He’s a great player. He’s real confident out there. I’m real happy we got this dude. I can’t wait to see what he does out there.”
Aaron Rodgers is back and practicing. He was very candid in his post practice interview
Jordan Love made a “gorgeous” throw to Amari Rodgers for a TD. He also had another nice play where he stepped up in the pocket, bought time, and found Kylin Hill for a TD.
Michael Gallup sat out of Cowboys practice today due to a tweaked ankle, which relates to the tumble over the fence he took yesterday. Isn’t considered serious
Jared Goff opened his first training camp in Detroit by completing 7 of 8 passes during team drills, although the only time he really tested the defense downfield was when T.J. Hockenson ran free in a broken coverage. Not much to glean from Goff today, other than he continues to throw a pretty football.
Amon-Ra St. Brown looked surprisingly polished for a rookie during the early portions of the offseason program. He’s also drawn rave reviews for his work ethic, and that was on display again today. St. Brown stayed after practice to catch a couple hundred footballs — yes, you read that correctly — from the JUGS machine and was among the last players to leave the field. No wonder this guy has such good hands. He might have made one of the most impressive catches of the day too, by the way, using just one hand to spear an off-target ball that was thrown by a coach just a few feet away during warmups.
Henry Ruggs III said he gained about 13 pounds this offseason. He made it a goal to get stronger in order to become a more physical player, both in the passing and running game.
Jalen Hurd participated in 49ers practice and was moving well
Teddy Bridgewater: “I’m a survivor. You can throw me in the jungle and I’m gonna come out with a fur coat and a headband I made with some leaves.”
Justin Herbert: “I think it’s pretty cool that Patrick Mahomes knows who I am.”
Jalen Hurts plans to meet with the WRs and TEs after every practice and address what worked well, what didn’t, and what they need to work on. DeVonta Smith said Hurts is the type of guy you want leading a team.
Justin Jefferson: “I just feel way more comfortable going into this season.”
Drew Lock on KJ Hamler: “If you’re under 10 yards, he’ll be able to shake you… KJ’s super physical… When you get past 10 yards, I don’t know if there’s anyone that can hang with him when he turns the jets on”
Seahawks 2nd Round Pick, Dee Eskridge, will start camp on the PUP list. Rashaad Penny is not on PUP to begin camp
On the first play of the next team period, Najee Harris hit a hole to a good-sized gain. Took five Steelers to bring him down.
Brandon Aiyuk made catches all over the place during this first camp practice. He led all 49ers with five catches today. No one else caught more than two balls.
